• First off, I apologize if this has been covered elsewhere; no combination of search terms pulled up quite what I’m looking for.

What I’m looking for is this: is it possible to create a set of conditional tags within the WP loop such that posts in one particular category appear slightly differently on the front page?

Here’s what I want to do: I want to use a plugin like Twitter Tools to have my tweets post as blog entries. But I want that category of posts (which will be something like “twitter”) to appear without a post title, without a comment link, and without some of the other surrounding stuff that my regular front-page posts have. Instead, I’d like them to have some kind of special formatting — I’m not sure what, yet — that calls attention to them as being tweets rather than posts.

Any advice on how to do this would be hugely appreciated!

  • I have a post and some code called “A Different Take on Asides” that, while dated, might be helpful.

I still use a variation on it. Just figure out what category your tweets are in first ??

Oh, exactly! That looks exactly like what I’m after. I’ll poke at it and see if I can make this work. Thanks so much for the quick, helpful response!
