1.7.1 Home page setting is getting lost

    Hi,

    After updating to 1.7.1, the homepage ( https://wings.international/ ) was not loaded but the blog page ( https://wings.international/news/ ) instead. Just saving the reading settings did not solve anything. Saving to a different page and than save again to home, did the trick briefly. After a few refreshes on the front-site, the blog page started loading again.

    I tried saving permalinks to non default setting. The language is set from the directory name in pretty permalinks setting is selected.

    After restoring the server back to before updating, the problem is gone. So this problem appears not in Version 1.6.5.

    Tried it now, lost all settings by uninstalling 1.6.5 though https://wingspolylangtest.bitnamiapp.com/

    So, I don’t know if the dev version solves my problems.

    What did you do? Did you click on the red delete link in the plugins list table? ??
    De-activating the plugin, replacing files and re-activating the plugin (which is the process used by WP when updating a plugin) should not loose anything.

    Yes, that’s what I did. ??
    I have no easy FTP access. So I guess I’ll have to wait till the new release, so I can update via the admin.

    Version 1.7.1 did not work for my website (www.wikkiewak.com).
    It didn’t show my static front-page and listed no product is the menu’s. Tried different setting in polylang pretyylinks and with wordpress permalink but with no success.

    Then I disabled the polylang plugin.
    Downloaded the polylang dev 1.7.1.4 version
    Unpacked the .zip and uploaded via ftp (overwrite 1.7.1 with 1.7.4.1 files)
    Reactivated polyland plug-in and everything is woking like it did on the polylang 1.6.5. But better ??

    I agree wikkiewak, awesome plugin! I have paid WPML licenses, but for most projects I prefer Polylang ;).
