2.5.1 Endless Redirection Issue.

    After upgrading from 2.5 I’m getting a endless loop of 301 redirects. I have searched high and low to figure out the problem, does any one have an idea?

    PHP: 4.4.7
    MySQL: 4.0.27

    This is a default fresh install from the latest wordpress package. There are no plugins/widgets/themes or anything installed. All default out of the box.

    Any ideas out there? This is somewhat time-sensitive as I’m having the same problems with a client.

    You may want to contact your web host Concentric or whoever for advice. They should have better knowledge about your account.

    Thanks macsoft, I figured out the issue.

    For some reason PHP is not using the REQUEST_URI variable so I modified the wp-settings.php file to use PHP_SELF instead.

    So, if there are any Concentric hosting customers having the same issue here is the fix:

    This is the entire wp-settings.php file:

    Removed by moderator. Post only your changes, or use https://wordpress.pastebin.ca for large files.
    The modification is on line 89.

    Hahaha, well that was a bad idea. Did you try making sure .htaccess is writable by php and resetting your preferences in the Permalink screen?

    I’m trying to solve an issue with a redirect loop and the moderator moved the relevant info to a link which is now broken (https://wordpress.pastebin.ca/).
