1.8.3 update stopped showing my related posts

Just to add to my previous message.

the manual code

“<?php echo do_shortcode( ‘[manual_related_posts]’ ); ?>”

does not seem to work any more. the code still there in my theme but it does not show anything.

Same problem as ghp123 mentioned. An example is at https://www.theshelterblog.com/15-tiny-home-community-for-homeless-proposed-in-portland-oregon/ where there should be 4 manual related posts.

It seems to be the same symptom as described below (from https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/plugin-baw-manual-related-posts-shortcode-doesnwork#post-4637970), where if Display related posts in post content is checked and the shortcode is used, BWMRP shows twice. If the option is unchecked, the shortcode doesn’t work either.

In version 1.7.17 as in 1.7.9, shortcode into single.php just works if ” Will be displayed at bottom of content” is checked, and then, of course, it shows twice.

On the site that I had referred to, I’ve since downgraded to 1.8.1, and it’s back to working. I didn’t retain a backup of 1.8.2, so I can’t confirm its status. Since it’s life was only a few days, I am not sure whether the problem originated with 1.8.2 or 1.8.3. But it’s gone with 1.8.1.

Reverted back to 1.8.1 and all working fine.

Same problem. 1.8.1 was fine – update to 1.8.3. and no related posts shown..

Yes the problem started with 1.8.3, i went back to 1.8.2 and that works fine.

Same problem for me. Where can I find an older version (1.8.2)?

I’m getting this error:

And when searching for posts I get this error:

i just release a 1.8.4, fixing the posts not shown and the 2 notices.

Cleared my cache, but they do not appear.
