1and1 Hosting

  • Hello. I have been reading around and I noticted quite a few people have the free 1and1 hosting. I have that too, but I could not get WordPress set up on it. I was just wondering if any of you had to do something special to make it work on their servers? Thanks -Jitpal

  • I didn’t have to. Set up my blog 2 days back @ https://designvita.com/blog and this domain uses the free 1&1 hosting. Where exactly are you stuck? What are the error msgs, if any?

    I download 1.0.2. It installed, got the temp password and everything, logged in. Everything looked great but whatever I posted does not show up. It just says “Sorry, none of the posts match your criteria” In the heading it says “my weblog <div id=’error’> SQL/DB Error:<br/>[span style=’color: #007;’>Y – Microsoft Internet Explorer” What else is bizare is that if I hover over the date on the calendar it shows the titles of my posts. I have no idea why this happens. Thanks -Jitpal
