1and1 setup problems

    Hello- I have reviewed the forum archives and 1and1’s FAQs (and gotten nowhere with their customer support), so I’m hoping someone here can help me out.

    I setup a blog at https://www.reversemergerblog.com using 1and1’s Business Package. I am unable to change the template and am wondering:
    1. How to upload a new template – I FTP into my account and only see a “logs” subfolder
    2. How to install a widget

    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • I use 1and1.com and set up a database through the 1and1 MySQL admin (you get 50 of ’em). Then installed WordPress manually. Doing it this way should solve most of the problems. Never tried their service.

    I also have the 1&1 Business Package. If you use the blog from 1&1’s Control Panel, you’ll be extremely limited. I put up a tutorial on my blog just for those wanting to install WordPress using 1&1.
