1and1 webhost blocks anyone logging in to WordPress

  • Hi,

    I use 1and1.co.uk to host my website. For the past 3 days my website members have not been able to log on to my site and to the forums.

    After chasing 1and and spending almost an hour on the phone to them they admitted that they have blocked anyone from logging on because WP-LOGOIN.PHP is subject to a group force attack.

    They have no idea when they will fix this.

    The same thing happened earlier this year when my website was out for over a week.

    Does anyone experience this with other webhosts?

    It is very frustrating because my forums are an integral part of my website. I have considered switching to other webhosts but I don’t know if I’ll encounter the same thing with them?

    Also, some don’t appear to have UK support only US support.

    Does anyone have any suggestions for what I can do with 1and1 or can you suggest a decent webhost?
