1and1.co.uk is this a good host for wordpress

    I wish to test out wordpress and possibly change from joomla.
    I have an existing account with 1and1.co.uk is this a good host for WP ??
    My joomla sites are not hosted on 1and1.co.uk

  • A WordPress site will run on 1and1 but you might have to get your hands dirty. I recently setup a WordPress 3.0 website on their servers but it didn’t work straight away, I needed to make some changes to a .htaccess file to make the hosting use PHP5 and automatic update wasn’t working on their servers either. Searching Google it looks like I wasn’t the only one with that problem.

    It’s not uncommon to have to make a few minor changes here and there, not all hosts use the same configuration.
