1st WP: personal homepage/blog. Feedback pls?

    Hi all,

    After some exposure to WordPress sites and being involved in the development of two, I’ve decided to try my hand at building my own:

    Homepage
    Blog

    I am using the theme Twenty Ten with the child theme Twenty Ten Weaver, which allows for easy customization of the default theme. I also have about 10 widgets/plugins for more customization.

    I custom designed the background in photoshop with images from some of my favorite games/memes.

    I was hoping to gather some feedback on the site from people who have seen a lot of webpages, and in particular WP powered webpages. Could you provide me feedback on:
    -browsing ease
    -aesthetics
    -content
    -wp framework/setup
    -anything else ??

    plain and simple, I like it. You might want to make your own favicon though, makes it a lot more legit.

    YAY, glad you like it! That took me quite a while. Did not want to make the file too big, so limited the length to 1 level. That limited the amount of characters/images I could squish in though. Do you think I have too many widgets? I have about 13 that effect the website. I haven’t noticed that load times are too long though.

    What do you guys think about animated favicons? They only work in firefox but you can display static ones for the other browsers. I was thinking of animating the blue fire above the e.

    I like the look and feel of your site. nice work. can you take a look @ mine and tell me where im going wrong or anyadvice you may have. i also use an animated favicon…..is mine to cheesy….lol
