2.0.1 Update crashes site

    When I install the 2.0.1 update, my WordPress site fails to load. All I see is a blank page. I have restored from backup and replicated the problem a couple times.

    Hi there, thank you for notifying us of this problem and my apologies for the inconvenience it may have caused.

    2.0 is a major overhaul. It may introduce some compatibility issues with older versions of WordPress and PHP that weren’t there in the previous version of the plugin.

    Can you tell me what WordPress and PHP version you are using so I can run some tests?

    2.0.3 should fix this issue among another update issue.

    For anyone else experiencing this issue (white page after updating), no worries, here’s how to fix it:

    1. Navigate to the wp-content/plugins/ directory through FTP or a file manager
    2. Rename the post-to-google-my-business folder to post-to-google-my-business_temp
    3. Navigate to your WordPress dashboard (your site should already be working again now).
    4. Go to the plugins page. You’ll see a warning that Post to Google My Business has been disabled because it could not be found.
    5. Rename post-to-google-my-business_temp back to post-to-google-my-business
    6. Go to the Updates page and update Post to Google My Business to the latest version.
