2.1a error

Hello, all.

I got same message from Adsense (error 2.1a) just after trying to implement the Quantcast GDPR pop-up. I had the Ultimate GDPR plugin for several years and nothing was ever popping up in adsense.

I couldn’t deal with Quantcast product despite sincerely wanting to understand all the tutorials – ads were not blocked before consent, so I went back to the old plugin further. Unfortunately, the message on Adsense does not disappear for 3 days and I noticed a drop in earnings, should I worry about it?

So Quantcast at the end, thank you so much for the noticeable drop in my earnings and the stressful message from Adsense.

I am asking you to come up with some simple solutions. I can do a lot, but it is too much for me, and the more ordinary user will not be able to cope with it completely.

Crougle, yes, you should be worried! I have that problem for almost 8 weeks. The ads are not blocking before consent and the earning droped consideraly.

Thx son_gokou for the quick reply. I’m a bit scared, because I’ve already returned to the old plugin, where adsense had no problems with it. The plugin completely blocks the ads before giving consent. But this plugin unfortunately does not work for TCF v2.0. Probably if I hadn’t changed it to Quantcast, no message would have come up. And now I am forced to step into TCF v2.0 by this message, but how, and how much time do I have left? – I have no idea.

I read in the Google Adsense regulations that from October 16, Google will implement their own cookies. Does anyone know how it will work? Will their own opt-in popup appear on my website? And the problem with this stressful message will be solved?

Anyone know of any simple alternatives to Quantcast to implement GDPR with the new requirements? Because I can see in the forum here that there is nothing to count on for help from Quantcast.

hi, i’ve the same problem and QC is not anwering at all.
the only solution that i’ve found (working) is Iubenda, but you need to be ready to spend (free up to 25Kpageview per month….).
unfortunately seems that no free plugin exists….

Quantcast choice doesn’t block ads. You need to use one of Adsense inserting plugins, like Advanced ads, or Ad Inserter. Adding your Adsense codes in these, you will have the ‘power’, to prevent ads from loading, before user gives his consent and those plugins will communicate with Quantcast Choice. If user accepts, ads will show, if user denies cookies, ads will not show. Else, Google won’t show ads if there’s no reply sent from user, through Choice form. It basically goes like this, when you setup everything properly: user loads your website, Quantcast Choice pops up in the middle of the screen. Ads are not loaded in background. IF user gives his consent, settings are saved, Ads are loaded. If user doesn’t give consent, no ads will be loaded.
