Other thread got closed but you were correct. CCCS off and no CCCS tab in AO. CCCS on and tab also present in AO. You are welcome to take a look.

    hey @sdawales ??

I think somehow something went wrong when installing 2.7 beta somehow? what version does the active Autoptimize say on the plugin overview screen? do you see the new “Experimental: enable 404 fallbacks.” option at the bottom of the main settings-page?

Yes, I see that. Wait one. I think I see what the problem may be. With CCCS off, my API key is not installed. Let me find it and see if that fixes it.

I turned off CCCS and then added my API Key to AO. CCCS tab now shows no rules but I think they are updating once I visit a page. Looks like the problem was simply the API key missing.

very weird that your settings were gone. what version of the “old” power-up were you using?

    Thread Starter sdawales

    (@sdawales)

I was using 0.9.2 for the CCCS plugin. All the pages are now in the queue to be processed with home page pending and others showing as “job status new”.

0.9.2 of https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/autoptimize-criticalcss ? is so that’s an ancient version (don’t even find a reference to it), the latest version (1.18) does not delete options when disabling, guess that was the problem.

    (@sdawales)

Yep. Did not even see that it needed an update. I guess it was not an auto updating plugin like the rest of them. Thank you Frank.

Might you have been using the even-older-manual-power-up where you had to add (and update) each rule manually? In that case do take into account that the integrated version uses the criticalcss.com API which will add a cost to your subscription. Just though you’d want to know ??

Not a problem. Best money I have spent and would recommend to anyone.

case closed, thanks for the feedback sdawales ??

Hi Frank. Just an FYI that I also had trouble getting the new auto rules to fire (just sitting there with a “N”) after adding the API key. I did a search of the forum and followed some suggestions, deactivating and activating, etc. I then checked my cron jobs and the “ao_ccss_queue” cron was missing. I found a previous post with a similar issue and I added the cron as per these instructions. It’s probably my install but since this is beta, I thought I should let you know just in case. Cheers.

    1. go to “tools” -> “cron events”
    2. scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the “add cron event”
    3. set hook name to ao_ccss_queue
    4. set recurrence to 10 minutes (“Autoptimize CriticalCSS.com power-up cron”)
    5. click on “add cron event”
    6. check if indeed it appears in the list of events when you refresh the page

Now I am using AO2.7.0, can I go ahead and remove the old Autoptimize CriticalCSS.com plugin? I’m all good with 2.7. Thanks
