I had a problem with 2.9 update. I am on multisite, and after the update none of the AIOSEO functionality appeared in html source, admin side seemed ok.
    I reverted to previous version.

We’d like to fix this, but unfortunately we’re unable to reproduce this, and multiple developers are able to find any problems going over the 2.9 code changes, meaning only a certain set of circumstances is causing the problem.

In order to fix the issue, we’ll need to work with you and your site to investigate. You can contact us at the link above and we’d love to get this resolved quickly.

Another user reported that this post resolved the same issue for them after updating. Can you check? https://semperplugins.com/missing-all-in-one-seo-pack-2-6-post-and-page-meta/

    Yes, that worked thanks!
Setting was=> SEO for Custom Post Types: Disabled

I always thought of that setting as a little funky so had it disabled.
Are Pages/Posts regarded as Custom Post Types?

You must have changed how that setting works. Once enabled for Pages/Posts, now works fine.

    Thanks for letting me know.
Yeah, we need to rename that as “post type” or the more descriptive “content type”.

It was technically a bug that it worked before when they were disabled, which we fixed in 2.6. Unfortunately that had the side effect of appearing as a bug for people who disabled that functionality (posts and pages are enabled by default).
