2 bugs

  • Hello,

    I noticed two bugs after activating the plugin:

    1. When I specify an excerpt length for the page, no excerpt is shown at all.

    2. When requiring subscription since the first article, no full text of the page is shown, even to Google bot (I tested it using Search Console). I wonder if that happens when metered is on as well, after the bot visits a large set of pages. Most paywalls that I’ve seen and that rank well exhibit full article text on the source code and show a div in front of the user that hides the content. That does not appear to be the behavior of Leaky Paywall, and is definitely something that I would like to see in it.

    Hello Jeremy,

    any prediction on when those issues will be solved? Particularly, number 2 is the most serious one that we need solved. Then we can already use the plugin.

    As long as you allow at least one free article with the meter, then #2 shouldn’t be a problem.
