• What happens when you have multiple events at the same time. How does the calendar look. All of the demos and screenshots only have one event at a time.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the question.
When there are two events at the same time, they share the timeslot horizontally.

I think you mean vertically, right @motopress?

I’d prefer if Events at the same time were listed horizontally – at least to have that as an option. Having several events stacked vertically gives the incorrect impression that some are starting at the half hour or later, ya know?

I’m piggybacking this thread because I don’t see a button to create a new one…

My MotoPress Timetable has a number of Events at the same time but the Order variable has no effect on their position. I’m not able to wrangle them into a proper order even when I delete them and create them from scratch.

I really like this plugin and I appreciate any thoughts you have about this ordering issue. Here’s what I have so far (with placeholder content for now):

    Hi @bozekitty,
Thank you for your reply. Yes, I meant horizontally, I’m sorry. Unfortunately there is no way to place events vertically at the moment. We’ll keep your suggestion in ind for further updates. Thank you.

Thanks for the reply @motopress! Could you respond to the second part of my post? I have a Timetable with multiple events at the same time and I need a method to control the order in which they’re displayed. Thanks again!

    Hi @bozekitty,
At the moment timeslots are shown in order as they were added. The higher is placed a timeslot that was added earlier. So if you want to move timeslot under another one you should remove and add it again.

Thanks @motopress but that’s not the case in my experience. Events with the same time change position in the Timetable and creating them in reverse order doesn’t work the way you describe. Have you tested this yourself?

I’ll link you to my example again:
    https://djangoinjune.com/django-in-june-2018-class-schedule-v2/

I deleted and recreated them all in order and they don’t even appear in the same order from day to day. They also don’t display with the most recent at the top as you claim.

Thanks so much for looking into this. Isn’t this just what the Order attribute on the page would be used for? Can you include that in your next update in the next month or two?

    Thanks again!

    Hi @bozekitty,
I’m sorry for a delay. Yes, I tested and re-created time slots (not events) and that worked. If you want to order events you can do this using Order ID or third party plugins like Intuitive Custom Post Order.
You can also email us an export file of timetable and shortcode used on that page and we’ll test it locally.
