Issue 1
How do YouTube links work, only a link shows but not the actual media. I am sure I read in the past here you were going to update this so they do work. Mines do not work with version 1.4.7.

Issue 2
When I updated from 1.4.5 to 1.4.7, all the little icons in user profile are just a square box, how do I fix this.

Hi. I did all that for the icons, I have FontAwesome enabled, and I added .fa-reply:before {
content: “\f3e5” !important;
}
to the CSS in the custom CSS. The icons do not work for me at at all, unless I remain with version 1.4.5 and they all work perfectly. I also do not use any caching plugin, and I did ctrl F5 in the browser, and also deleted all wpforo caches.

Aside from that, the functions code for YouTube videos does not work for me either. YouTube videos will play on the site anywhere which is not wpforo related, only on the wpforo they wont which is where I need it to work most ?? Apart from the functions.php code are there other suggestions?

Please read the release summery attentive. Especially this part:

If you’ve changed forum icons, member fields and reputation icons, please edit and insert new values using Font Awesome 5 new classes.

Also please leave some URL to allow us check it. Make sure you don’t have hard-coded Font Awesome lib in website header.

The code which is provided on the topic works fine, and it only works for wpForo. please try to create a new topic with new Youtube link. Make sure you use a clean YouTube URL.

I have added the code to functions.php, it unfortunately does not work. The issue must be within wpforo yes, as regular wordpress posts play YouTube no problem which tells me it’s not a theme issue etc (I even tried wpforo on new themes, same thing). Any other suggestions for how I can get youtube links to work on the wpforo forum. I have started new topics as you suggested, and I have tested the youtube url to ensure it 100% works.

If I post an image URL from another website the image displays in the forum page OK, I never expected this to work seeing as youtube links do not. Youtube links just show the URL.

There is no other suggestion.The best suggestion is already mentioned in the topic. I have no idea why it doesn’t work, it’s the 10% working code. I think you’re doing something wrong.
You should do all correct. This is the only suggestion. I’m note sure you’ve used the code correctly and tested it correctly. So I recommend open a support topic on wpForo community for further support.
