When a user enters the address for location and uses the standard 2 letter format for state (Michigan = MI) the map does not find the location. However if I type out the full state name it works.

Anyway to fix this to work with state abbreviations?

    Hello,

Currently, Those are not available at the moment, You might need to hack the plugin files to add those.

In my Google Maps replacement for Events Manager (EM – OpenStreetMaps), the correct formatting of any address is automatically applied, as soon as the user clicks “Search Address”, using the well maintained OpenCage Geo Data.

Also wrong spelling (like caps) are automatically corrected.
And the data is localized to your blog’s locale.

So if you are looking for a free, easy to use replacement for Google Maps within EM that does only require one free API key and offers more styling options, check it out here: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/stonehenge-em-osm/
