    Hi,
what’s the name of your theme?

I guess SEOPress is currently disabled on your site because I don’t see the duplicate meta description.

    Hi,
there are not 2 meta description.

The first one is the meta description.

The second is the og:description for social networks.

How long have you done the modification of the meta desc? It can take several days/weeks to see the correct meta desc.

It been more than 8 months now… in other sites where we have all in one or yoast we get to see results in a week’s time. (after editing)

Have you submit your site to Google Search Console?
Do you have any error in GSC?

From GSC, ask Google to crawl your homepage manually.

Also, you homepage has multiple H1 tag. You should have only 1 H1: better for SEO and accessibility.
