    Hallo everyone.

Last week I discovered WordPress, I am kinda of a n00b.
It’s truly great, I feel like I am in love.
At the moment I am trying to make a WordPress blog.
    I have 2 small problems…
    This is the installation: https://tinyurl.com/y8932q3

1.I am using the thema “Hanging 2.0”
On the sidebars, there is a text “Please add some widgets here”.
I would like to add some widgets, but how can I add them at the sidebars, so the text “Please add some widgets here” will be begone?

2.How can I change the frontend language?
At the moment I see this text at every post:
“This entry was posted on vrijdag, november 6th, 2009 at 19:36 and is filed under Uncategorized. You can follow any responses to this entry through the RSS 2.0 feed. You can leave a response, or trackback from your own site. Edit this entry.”
How can I make this text Dutch?

Any form of advice is most welcome!

    Greetings,

    MrDick

  • 1. Visit Administration > Appearance > Widgets to add widgets to sidebar.

    2. With the help of the Template Hierarchy article, determine what Template is displaying your posts (could be index.php or single.php), then make your changes.

    I still don’t understand everything.

    1. I added a couple widgets.
Were can I change the name of the widgets that is displayed above them?

2.I don’t understand were I need to change English words like “Read More”.

    It’s in a PHP file?
Isn’t there a plugin that makes all English words on the frontend Dutch?
I have been on this problem for over more then 12 hours, any kind of advice is welcome!

    1. Some widgets you can’t change
    2. Yes it’s a PHP script file in your wp-content/themes/hanging folder. I’m not sure about dutch themes, but see

    Thanks again, MichaelH. ??

    1. Is there no way to remove the title of a widget?
On my blog I see “site search” above a search widget.
It must come from some place.
How can I remove this “site search” text or alter it?

2.I installed the Dutch plugin yesterday, it works great on the backend, but not on the frontend.
This afternoon I went trough all the files and changed everything that was English.
I still keep seeing this text:

    Were does it come from?
How can I remove this text or alter it?

If anyone has any idea how I can take care of these problems, please let me know!

Sorry this was a double posting, please remove!

    1. If using the native WordPress Search widget, in Appearances->Widget edit the title of that widget.

    2. Get https://wingrep.com and search your WordPress theme for that info (e.g. “entry was posted on”). As I said before it could be in your theme’s single.php

    Thanks so much for WinGrep!!!
It will save me dozens of very boring hours ever month!

I took care of the problems by finding every English word.

    Thanks for your help.

    Greetings,

    Buck
