I have a blog with the normal post pages, and in addition a single “page” page that has no parent, but to which I made a hard link in the footer. Today I made another page page. Now when I enter the URL for either of those pages, they both appear on the same page, the 2nd one on top and the earlier one below it.

Both pages are main pages, no parent, although I tried subordinating one to the other, and it didn’t fix it. I use the URL rewriting feature, and for some reason page pages URLs get broken, so I call the page pages using the domain.com/blog/?page_id=123 style URL.

I seemed to have solved by problem by the RTFM method. The Codex mentioned that the .htaccess file needed to be writable, or at least updated after changes to Pages. I did that and changed the URLS to the rewritten form, and not only did the rewritten URLs work, but only one Page showed up — not the two Pages on a Page as before.

josepo, one question: I just bump into the same problem, I have two pages that have the same ‘slug’, meaning the url ends with the same term and now whenever I load any of those pages it shows not one but the two of them.

I did the update on the permalink structure option, I guess thats how you update the .htaccess file.
Any ideas what could be wrong?
