    Hi all,

Just taking a chance here… I have a ton of texts. I would like to display one of them in full view on the left half of my screen, and the right half would be filled with either a list of titles, or teasers.

Or, put differently: a two-column screen, with one full text on in the first column, and a list of teasers in the second column.

Can this be done? Most probably yes, but since I’m extremely new at WordPress, I wonder if someone can give me a hand (or a pointer).

    Thanks!

Will you be able to share the page url so that could review a few things and suggest you possible solution?

    Hello Vijay,

I don’t have a page url yet. It’s all still very ‘conceptual’. I switched to WordPress only yesterday, so…

Basically, I suppose I’m looking for a theme which makes it possible to work with a split screen (or two columns, or panes, or whatever you want to call it).
    – On the left hand side (the left pane, the left column) there would be a full text.
    – On the right hand side, there would be a list of titles (or teasers).
Obviously, the title of the full text also occurs in the list. The idea is to have some sort of a text browser.

Ok, If you’re aware of block Editor in wordpress, which comes with WordPress’s latest version then you’ll see the option to choose columns block, then you can choose two columns and can write in each column.
You can basically design your whole page content on your own, it doesn’t depend on the theme, you get page content area from theme then you can divide the content into columns, sections, etc.
