• I’m not sure if this is feasible but was wondering if there is a plugin, or a relatively easy way, to give a hyperlinked term in a post two choices for the link.

For example, if in a business blog, Google was referenced – On mouseover of google’s name, the reader would have a choice of link to either googles homepage or a finance page showing googles stock performance. 2 links tied to one keyword. The mouseover effect could be a dropdown menu on click…the visual effect for how it’s displayed is secondary to the idea of being able to do 2 links to one word.

My presumption would be to do this with a javacript but reading the codex suggests putting a javascript in the post is complex and that would be unnecessarily difficult if the feature was to be used often. Is there any easier way? Is this even realistic for a wordpress post?

If anybody has done something like this, or has ideas about how to pull it off, I’d love to hear. Likewise if you can direct me to any resources that might light the way.

I’m new to php and not sure what the best way to approach this would be in WordPress. It would be a very cool feature to have. any and all thoughts/help would be welcome.

    thanks
