2 photos in post – SIDE by SIDE???

  • I need to place 2 photos in a single post & have them show up side by side. They will only stack on top of one another, even though there is room to the right. There is no “return” character, because if I delete, it deletes the next photo.

    Any idea how I can force this?

  • Ensure that you align both images left and that there is enough room in your content area to show the 2 images side-by-side.

    Already did, they stack. I’m thinking table inside a post. How is that done?

    You don’t need a table. What is the width of each picture and what is the width of your main content area?

    Attach both images to the post in the media library.

    Add [gallery] shortcode into a post.

    I was not successful with [Gallery] in the post. Where do you put it?

    What I need to do is have 2 photos side by side in one post (that works fine), each with a caption below it, and a black background, not a white one!

    I also want to eliminate the secondary box behind it. Where do I find the code to edit this?

    While editing a post, you upload images. That will “attach” images to the post.

    Now while editing the same post, stick [gallery] -no cap, into the “html” of the post. Top, bottom, by itself, wherever.

    Double check your list of images in Media Library to see which images are “attached” to which posts.
