I’m 98% of the way to using this plugin exactly the way I want, but have 2 problems standing in the way.

    1. I can’t get Auto Open to work for the life of me.

I’ve reviewed the troubleshooting docs on this and still can’t see where I’m going wrong, as I’ve covered each of them.
    – My conditions are setup to All Posts and All Pages
    – Auto Open trigger is setup with a delay of 3 seconds
    – Cookie is setup as Sitewide with a cookie time of 5 minutes
    – wp_footer is enabled
    – I can get this popup to display with Click Open

    What could I be missing?

    2. The popup doesn’t close automatically on form submission.

The form is part of an embedded Elementor module so it’s called via shortcode [elementor-template id=”28732″], but that form has a redirect setting that I’ve enabled. It seems when the form is complete the redirect should take effect and close the window, but it’s not.

Thanks in advance if anyone has suggestions or the team can offer support.

@bhull Do you have a link?

1 – Have you checked for JS errors?

2 – Closing after form submission is not built in for most forms. We have it for some of the most popular (Gravity Forms, Ninja Forms, CF7) as well as our own forms, but not for everything else. You would need to write a snippet of code that closes the popup & sets a cookie on successful submission.

If the page simply redirects when they submit the form, the popup isn’t actually closed, just a new page is loaded. Hope that helps.

    Hi Daniel,

Thanks for the reply. Answering your questions…

Here’s the link: https://www.sideprojectplan.com. You can select Launch from the main menu or, from one of the individual articles, click Subscribe on one of the calls to action at the end of the post or the sidebar call to action. They all produce a separate popup.

1 – Didn’t know I could check for Javascript errors. Will do that.

2 – Yeah, I didn’t assume you’d have an answer for every form type, from the form-makers to the page-buiders, but thought I’d ask.

By the way, I’ve since disabled Auto Open, so you won’t experience that. I’d like to bring it back though…

Hi Daniel, I got this figured out. Cleared my cache and re-saved those pages and everything is working fine now. Thank you!
