2 questions about FeedWordPress

  • hi there i have 2 question about this plugin if you don’t mind answering

    1. is there a way to auto post something with just the title and to not include the ‘post’ in the body of the post without removing <?php the_content(”); ?> from index.php and single.php and so on?

    2. when i set the Permalinks to the site and not to the local copy it messes up the comments link is there a way to fix this? (it goes to permalink#Respond on THERE site and not mine)

    basically what i want is to import just the titles from the rss without any of the post/body and to allow commends (think of how the digg.com homepage is just without the little info bit)

  • Hi Steve – by chance, I spotted your post when I logged into the forums.

    After spending a fair amount of time with FWP, I decided to give up on it. It is certainly powerful, but with power comes complexity and a higher chance of issues. And I had way too many issues. I also found it had too many ‘buttons’ and I couldn’t remember how to use it as I only used it rarely.

    I ended up switching to WP-o-Matic. I used Yahoo Pipes to modify my feeds before pulling them in with WPoM.

    It seems that for what you want to do, there are probably other plugins that may be better suited. Lorelle had a nice round-up of RSS/feed plugins.

    WP-o-Matic fixes problem 2 but i still have problem 1 but my little “hack” fixes that i guess thank you ??
