2 Questions on “Relocate a Site”

Hi there,

I am exploring the use of Redirection in our MultiSite environments, which were originally created using the subfolder configuration, so sites look like:
mysite.com/site-one/ and mysite.com/site-two/

1) If I want to redirect all traffic from mysite.com/site-one/ to the home page of mysite.com/site-two/, is that possible?

It looks like “Relocate Site” always copies the full path… ?? (However, note that I can’t actually even get that to work in this environment – see below)

2) If I want to redirect all traffic from mysite.com/site-one/ to the equivalent path on mysite.com/site-two/, is that possible? (For example, mysite.com/site-one/foobar/ -> mysite.com/site-two/foobar/)

I tried setting this up, and viewing simple posts don’t seem to redirect, and I’m wondering if it’s because the DOMAINS are the same. When I test “Relocate Site” to a different top-level domain, then the redirects work as expected.
