2 Strange Folders

  • I’m trying to check a client’s website and I found 2 folders that don’t exist in the WP, named ¨Forgotten¨ and ¨Websiteguide¨! -> https://imgpile.com/images/uIMRFr.png
    Within the ¨Websiteguide¨ folder, there are several XML files named websitemap, and within the ¨Forgotten¨ folder there is the html moban file

    Has anyone seen these folders before?

    I hope you are doing good.

    Those directories are not part of WordPress core. If you are not aware of those directories please run a security audit and remove them if necessary.

    You can try using the plugins Defender or WordFecnce for security auditing.
