• I have wordpress installed in the root directory of my domain.
I’ve upgraded to 2.0 and the url rewrites in the new .htaccess file
are making it impossible to visit access any of my site’s other subdirectories
    including slimstat

when i try to access slimstat,
the .htaccessrewrites try to direct me to a category page called slimstat

Is there any way around this?
    How are people accessing slimstat
or any other subdirectories or their site
    with WordPress 2.0
    ?

    thanks in advance

  • The easiest thing to do would be to move WordPress from your root directory to a subdirectory.

You don’t want the .htaccess code generated by WordPress to interfere with all files and folders under your root directory, so WordPress in it’s own directory makes the most sense.
