  • Hi there,

Make does not plagiarize the Twenty Fourteen theme. I invite you to look at Make’s source code and compare it with Twenty Fourteen’s source code. Additionally, Make has a fairly generic design that allows you to customize most aspects of the theme so you can build a site design that you fits your needs. On the other hand, Twenty Fourteen is a strongly designed theme without these customization options.

I ask that you reconsider your review as this is not a fair assessment of Make and the assertion that we have plagiarized the theme is just not true.

@aksu358 It’s not on a postcard, but why do you think Make is a 2014 clone?

    Zack.

Please accept my apologies. I used the word plagerise far to strongly and without consideration of the hard work that must have gone into making the theme. I take that completely back.

Make has has strong visual design clues which when viewed through the preview function on this site look very similar to 2014. The wide black border on the left with it’s type face, and green search button in th top left made me hastily jump to the wrong conclusion.

Again I apologise for offence I have caused.

    Yours,
    Alex

    Hi Alex!

Thanks for understanding the situation! Unfortunately, with the www.ads-software.com theme repository, the preview of the theme often makes the theme look like a lot of other themes. As a theme developer, we have no control over how that appears.

I encourage you to look at our real demo sites:

Given this new information, we would appreciate if you either delete your review or perhaps update it as it does not appear to be based on a fair evaluation of the theme.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

yeah – those actual demos you give are nothing like what the preview on this site gave. There is no similarity at all.

I’d love to remove my review. I was looking for a way, but could not find one. Can you give any pointers.

    BR: Alex
