    Did you create a menu for this site and mark it as the primary menu for the theme?

    From the dashboard, appearance->menus.

    Yes. I did APPEARANCE -> MENUS and created it as a site menu. But it only shows up on the first page and I was hoping to get it on all the pages. The alternative would be to get the side bar widget to show up on every page, which would work but I don’t know how to do that either. Right now only the blog page has a side bar.

    Yeah, only blog pages have a sidebar in 2017.

    I don’t see a menu on any page of your site. The check box you need to check is “top level menu”.

    or if you look at the “menu locations” tab under appearance->menus

    Thanks Steve. I’ll try the top menu and see if that works. I may have to try another theme.

    Problem solved. I switched to 2016 theme. Much better for my needs.
