    I am trying to remove the footer credit for the default WordPress 2019 theme. How do I do this?

    Did you already find the solution and added a code in Step 1? As it seems there is some code missing from the 2019 theme that should be there.
    If yes, please let me know what code or if you still need help with this.

    This is the code I am currently using. It only removes the hyperlink and not the text?

    Please remove that code from Step 1 and instead add this one exactly as it is below:

    <a href="https://www.ads-software.com/" class="imprint">
				Proudly powered by WordPress.			</a>

    Save and this will do it.
