2.0.2 to 2.0.4 upgrade success

  • Thought I’d mention that I just upgraded my WP installation from 2.0.2 to 2.0.4. Went smoothly as clockwork, no issues at all.

    I followed the Codex upgrade instructions to the letter. Every step, from backups to installation to reinstalling plugins.

    Nice work, people!

  • Just upgraded to 2.0.3 two days ago… sigh!!!! Some changes made to login.php and register.php to customise the login and registration pages (remove the WP logos and HARDCODED TEXTS)!!! anyone working on an intelligent installer??

    Worth doing the upgrade, mickemus. The Codex doc has a specific section on upgrading 2.0.3 > 2.0.4.

    My upgrade to 2.04 from 2.02 was successful as well. No issues, no problems.
    I’m glad for the security fixes, too.

    Not sure if it matters, but I also followed the 2.03 to 2.04 upgrade instructions. I did not get a prompt to click a link to upgrade. I got the same results on two different servers.

    However in my upgrade, I deleted the files from the server first as I am used to doing.

    Another successful upgrade here – 10 minutes,no problems and all plugins are working.

    upgraded from 2.0.3 to 2.0.4 with no problems.
    Was a little apprehensive, because this was my first upgrade, but was no problem.

    The upgrade from 2.0.3 to 2.0.4 went fine for me as well.

    On the plugin front, I did notice that Viperbond’s WeatherIcon plugin doesn’t seem to allow Arne Brachhold’s Google Sitemap plugin to work anymore when trying to manually rebuild a sitemap.

    Other then that, version 2.0.4 seems to run a lot faster too.

    Are there any extra instructions for updating from 2.0.2 to 2.0.4 instead of 2.0.3 to 2.0.4? I’ve never missed a step before and now I’ve discovered I can’t find 2.0.3 anywhere!

    Any advice folks?

    My upgrade seems to have been successful too, although I only did it yesterday and I haven’t really driven it very hard since. But so far so good.

    But I would like to see a list of bug fixes. I looked all over, and I keep seeing references to “security fixes” and “bug fixes,” but is there an actual LIST of those fixes anywhere?

    I just completed a dozen 2.0.2/2.0.3 upgrades to 2.0.4, and 3 others that went from 1.5.2 to 2.0.4. No hitches.

    vkaryl: Any that didn’t prompt for upgrade?

    Jeez, could have said, couldn’t I? The first 4 prompted, the next 2 didn’t, so I just manually did path/upgrade.php on the rest. Easier. And ummmm…. yeah, I think the ones that prompted were the 3 1.5.2 ones, plus one that may have been only 2.0.1, come to think about it….
