2020 year upload folder is missing?

    I hope I am in the right forum…since this is a sort of general issue.

    I noticed today that in the wp-content/uploads there is no 2020 folder. All my 2020 uploads are in the ‘root’ uploads folder. Is that where they should be? When 2021 ‘hits’ will WP move all of them into a 2020 folder sorted by month?

  • When the site was set up, was Organise my uploads into month- and year-based folders unchecked in Settings >> Uploading Files? Some admins do this if they are not anticipating many media files to be uploaded.

    I must have unchecked it somehow. I was organizing them up till 2020! Thank you!
