    Hello,

For the last few weeks I have been getting the following error when I attempt to upgrade my plugin:

An error occurred while updating NextGEN Gallery by Photocrati: Could not copy file. nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/nextgen_addgallery_page/static/plupload-2.1.1/jquery.plupload.queue/css/jquery.plupload.queue.min.css

Are you aware of this issue? Do you know how I can work around the issue?

@ufpst – Generally speaking WordPress plugin updates with the “Could not copy file” error point to the update routine not working as expected.

In these cases, you will typically need to access your site via an FTP client or some other file manager to complete remove the /nextgen-gallery/ folder from under /wp-content/plugins/

Then you should be able to go under Plugins > Add New … Search for “NextGEN Gallery” to re-install and re-activate the plugin. This is actually very similar to the update process and you images, galleries, albums, etc. will be safe and sound.
