2.1.7 – Checkout Field Problem

Followed all these instructions at here

for creating checkout fields. Placed it in my function.php file.Everything worked fine, until i upgraded to version 2.1.7
Problem: When trying to checkout, I get a 500 Internal error.
When degrading back 2.1.6 – Checkout works fine.
