Just installed the new version, and this is the error I get when I try to navigate to my posts… So, in the admin panel menu, I try to navigate to the ‘posts’ section -> get redirected to my 404 page, then I can’t use the dashboard icon to get back to the admin panel. I have to go to themes or something, and then the plugin becomes deactivated with this error.

All-in-One Event Calendar has been disabled due to an error:
Argument 1 passed to Ai1ec_Event_Parent::post_row_actions() must be an array, null given, called in /home/blah/blah/blah/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar/lib/bootstrap/registry/object.php on line 211 and defined

Not gonna lie, I love this plugin, but every time there is an update I cringe.

My sites that are Multi-sites went haywire on the update. The sites that were not, were OK. Ended up overlaying 2.3.7 back on to the multi-sites.

Well after playing around with it a bit more I can say this…

My Admin Menu Panel is like this:

    Dashboard
    Post
    Custom Post 1
    Custom Post 2
    Events ( Time.ly )
    Media
    Pages
    Custom Post 3
    Custom Post 4
    … etc

So if I click on Post, Custom Post 1 , Custom Post 2 or Events I get redirected to the 404 page… I can click on dashboard no problem, and Media and everything under Events seems to work just fine… But all the menu items above and including Events are sending me to my 404 page, followed by the deactivation of the plugin…

    Hi,

Do you use one of Timely addon?

    No I do not.

I can add some further information: I have disabled all my other plugins and I get the same result. Based on twentythirteen, My theme is super minimal aside from a bunch of custom post types and some meta data. Also, Is it only the parent link ( eg ‘All Posts’ ) that generates the 404 redirect followed by the error. The sub options ( ‘Add New’ , ‘Categories’, etc ) do not cause the error.

Oh and one more thing. I tried moving my Custom Post Types around in the menu positions and it did not affect the errors… so it’s not a positioning thing, rather something in common with the four post types: Posts, Events, Custom Post 1 and Custom Post 2.

(This is the new order I tried )
    Post –> 404
    Events ( Time.ly ) –> 404
    Media –> works fine
    Pages –> works fine
    Custom Post 1 –> 404
    Custom Post 2 –> 404
Custom Post 3 –> works fine
Custom Post 4 –> works fine

Well, okay. The more I play, the more I learn… this is where I’m at::

The reason Custom Post Type 3 & 4 worked fine before was because they didn’t have any posts associated to them yet. As soon as I created Posts of those types, their menu items broke the same way.

Dashboard, Media & Pages work fine.
All other Parent Menu Items break the Events Plugin: Posts, Events, and Any Custom Post Type containing posts of that type

I tried disabling my custom post types as well as my meta data but that didn’t yield any different results…. still sitting with a half broken plugin ??

I’m getting the same error message. I’m not as tech savvy, but if anyone knows how to roll back to the previous version, that would be extremely helpful (and save me days of creating all new events in a new plugin).

It’s not just me! Sad that it’s happening to you, but glad I’m not the only one ??

brandikelp – what is your setup? I wonder what our plugins/themes/setup have in common.

Any timely people wanna chime in on this issue? PS Nelson, BC is the best.

I actually decided to uninstall and reinstall the calendar. I exported my events first, so I wouldn’t lose them. After I reinstalled the plugin, I went to import the events – and it FAILED. I lost around 100 events. I’m having to re-enter every single one by hand. The bright side is, the plugin is working now.

I have the Nirvana theme with the latest version of WordPress. I really haven’t changed anything in the code. This is my first experience with WordPress. I’ve always used Dreamweaver in the past.

So something in my database ( a setting, an old event ? ) is breaking the plugin. I exported my sql, deleted the plugin and re-installed the whole plugin. It worked with no Events in it, and as soon as I imported my SQL again it is broken again. Can someone from Time.ly please try and help me out a bit… I’ve been trying everything and I haven’t heard _anything_ from you. I might have to move this conversation to twitter…

    Hi squivo,

    Please try this:

    – Delete the file uninstall.php from the plugin directory that is currently on the server (found under /wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar). Deleting this file ensures that when you uninstall the current version of the plugin, your event data and calendar settings will be preserved when you delete the plugin (don’t skip this step – it’s important!)
    – Deactivate the All-in-One Event Calendar using your WordPress Dashboard.
    – Delete the All-in-One Event Calendar using your WordPress Dashboard.
    – Database -> wp_options, click option_name to sort and delete everything with ai1ec_, this will delete plugin settings but events will remain in the database.
    – Now install the latest version.

Thanks! I’ll try this later this evening and let you know how it goes
