• 2.3.5 doesn’t work. Adds about 8 inches of white space with no Comments section like the fellow before me reported. Downgrading to 2.3.4, 2.3.3 has same results as 2.3.5 — perhaps you’ve changed a script on your end that’s changed functionality.

Is there a way you can restore 2.3.4 please. It was working beautifully until yesterday’s update.

  • How do you revert back to 2.3.4?

On their download page, replace the new default 2.3.5 with 2.3.4.
    https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/facebook-comments-plugin.2.3.4.zip

Delete old plugin via Ftp or Cpanel; unzip *2.3.4* to where you removed old plugin. Works rite away or don’t forget Activate it. Good luck

Thanks bro! It worked very well

Strangely today 2.3.4, 2.3.3 all behave the same as 2.3.5. All adding white space and the plugin vanished from my pages again.

I tried downgrading to 2.3.4, 2.3.3, and 2.3.2, too. Neither of them worked. I think version 2.3.5, perhaps 2.3.4, was working yesterday.

For my website, it just started working again 2.3.4 – weird whatever is causing the intermittent issue.

Yes. You are right. Version 2.3.4 started to work again. Thanks. Could it be the changes on the FB side?

Anyway, I see that the author of the plugin in 2.3.5 is different from that of the previous ones.

Oh and as of now, the plugin has been pulled out of WordPress plugin page.

Wow I never noticed they pulled the plugin and/or change of author. You’re right, it’s gone. Perhaps a security threat but I hope it was just an incompatibility and they made the new Author make his own account. I see no new News on Google mentioning a security breach. 2.3.4 continues to work, really hope it keeps working for the next 50 yrs ??

It seems Alex Moss who is the original author of the plugin is in this Facebook Comments by Vivacity team now. Or it is just a fork of his work. Maybe, we should try it.

Good find. But I think I’ll stick with 2.3.4 since it’s still working today and I don’t feel like fiddling with another. Hopefully WordPress doesn’t change anything major in the future and force me to upgrade ??

    Version 2.3.6 works again.
