    I had to use the html code for the double quotation mark to make it work, instead of typing it

    This may be due to the theme. Make sure you’re using the latest version of the theme and framework.

    I just tested this in Twenty Twelve theme and the caption shows correctly inside the lightbox. So this issue is not WooCommerce related.

    Thanks royho! I figured it was either WP or theme related. Though I didn’t want to change every image caption, I am doing that now.
