2.5 Upgrade Successful followed by Server Error

  • I just went through a successful upgrade to 2.5. The site was working fine and I was able to change themes and do a few other small admin stuff. I was also able to view the main page of the site with no errors. Then when I went to write a new post, as soon as I clicked on Preview This Post I got a generic server error (500). I am now getting that error on all attempts to view the site or access the admin area.

    This is a business site so I don’t have a lot of time to figure this out. The question is, should I revert to a backup (yes, I did make one just before upgrading) or are there some other troubleshooting steps I should take first? I have disabled all plugins except akismet.

    Never mind.

    It’s working again. No idea what happened but after five minutes of consistent server errors, everything is working normally.

    Phew.
