I run two blogs on my own (seperate) domains. The first upgrade ran smoothly, no problems at all. The second, following exactly the same steps won’t run. Admin and Includes directories were deleted/uploaded, all other files copied over Ok.

When I try to go to my-url/wp-admin, I get the following error:

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /my-url/wp-config.php:34) in /my-url/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 770

I’ve checked the config.php file, and added the new bits (Secret Keys and the check for “if ( !defined(‘ABSPATH’) )” at the end. All is as it should be as far as I can see. The pluggable.php file is the latest version. I’ve deleted all cookies for my domain but still get the same error message.

I’m not strong on PHP at all. Can anyone tell me how to overcome this? If I go to my domain I can still see the posts, it’s just the admin side (and upgrade) that’s denied me. So no new posts…

    Domain is https://www.asimkins.co.uk/blog/

    Thanks,
    A.

Sorted – I had some space characters after the closing ?> in the wp-config.php file.

Removing those and retrying brought up the ‘Upgrade Now’ screen when going to my-url/wp-admin and all now appears to be well!
