2.6 upgrade- sidebar links broken

Hi I’ve upgraded my wordpress blog from 2.0 to 2.6 but my sidebar links (links.php) aren’t showing. Any idea why this is? do I need to change the code in the template to get them to show? they are just static links to external websites.
