    Hi,
    I installed the plugin just now in a website I use for tests before to upgrade it on my public website.

    I have got this warning message. I report it here. I don’t know if it is dangerous or not.

    The plugin generated 2625 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.

    Maybe, it deserves investigation.

    Now I uninstalled the plugin.

    What data was output? Do you have access to the error logs?

    I don’t know, I just reported the test.

    What details do you want that I search in the error_log of the server web app?

    Hi, The error logs, even error logs for php, reported nothing at the moment. There is no error since yesterday.

    This is the only log where the redirection plugin is mentioned.

    I’m not really sure why the message is being output for you, and it doesnt occur anywhere that I’ve tested it. It could be a local setup issue. You can probably ignore it and continue using the plugin without any problem

    Yes, it is what I was going to it.

    After you activate the plugin I would go to the ‘support’ page in Redirection and see if any warnings are shown. It’s possible that the plugin had problems accessing your database, and this will be shown on the support page.

    Unfortunately, it is too late.

    As many times happen with simple warnings, with the second installation and activation, there were no more warnings.

    The support page reports everything in Green: good.

    Database tables Good All tables present
    Valid groups Good Valid groups detected
    Valid redirect group Good All redirects have a valid group
    Post monitor group Good Post monitor group is valid

    Well, everything it was, it didn’t make damages.

    That’s good.

    Now, I upgraded my public website and I didn’t get warnings.

    But the Support Page show REST API rows in Orange:

    WordPress REST API Problem REST API returns an error code (40x – xxxx/index.php?rest_route=/)
    Redirection routes Problem REST API is not working so routes not checked
    Database tables Good All tables present
    Valid groups Good Valid groups detected
    Valid redirect group Good All redirects have a valid group

    Site and home protocol Good Site and home are consistent

    Maybe this could be caused by the Security Plugin that blocks almost everything.

    What do you suggest to do?

    If the plugin is otherwise working fine on your production site then the message is probably a false positive – it tries to check itself, and sometimes it can be confused by certain setups.

    Nothing false alarm.

    Maybe I opened the support page too soon.

    Now I refreshed and the rows are in Green.

    I refresh again now… and those rows are in Orange again ??

    Ok. it is a false alarm.
