I did an upgrade. Auto install failed so I tried it manually. had the same issue with wp-admin/includes/file.php. It didn’t upload Then I removed it online and replaced it with the new one. Front end is working, but when I try to enter admin and am moved to upgrade I get this error:

Warning: main(/domain.com/public_html/wp-admin/includes/file.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /domain.com/public_html/wp-admin/includes/admin.php on line 16

But the file has been uploaded?!

When I click on function.main which is a link in the error report I get this:

    Not Found
The requested URL /wp-admin/function.main was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

be sure file.php is uploaded in ASCII and is not 0 byte

File somehow kept on disappearing on the server. Even when I uploaded it in ASCII mode instead of Filezilla Automode. I uploaded it as file2.php and renamed it to file.php and it stuck. Now all seems peachy. Weird, but true..
