• Edit: using https://my.site/wp-admin/upgrade.php generates the error in the topic.

Upgrade from 2.6.5 to 2.7.1 bombs every time we try it today, all freaking day. I posted some information in this thread:

Basically, all plugins are deleted, in other words GONE. except for the akismet that comes with WordPress. So this is NOT a plugin problem. The theme was set to the default WordPress theme PRIOR to trying this upgrade. No happiness.

I am reverting our site BACK to 2.6.5 AGAIN and am not going to try this again. I have wasted an entire Saturday trying to do this. I’ll check back later to see if anyone is brilliant enough to actually provide a solution to this error.

Wow, one week and no answer. No one knows anything about solving this? There has to be a way to fix it but we are not PHP nor MySQL “experts” over here at blog.eracc.com. Some direction on where to look to solve this error would be appreciated.

It would be very nice to move forward with the latest release of WordPress as that is our preferred publishing platform. But we have to be able to get past this error to do so.
