Comment Box on index.php

For some reason my ‘topic is closed’ after an hour… read here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/278776?replies=0

Basically, I just want comment boxes (like a little 150 pixel tall box with the comments) on my main index page – below each post.

I’ve been doing reading and research and have found that I’m going to need to modify the index.php file… however, I’m not sure what to add there.

Thoughts? Help? Nudges in the right direction?
