28 images generated for every 1 image I upload

  • Hi, please can someone advise me how to stop wordpress generating up to 28 images every time I upload a picture.

    I only have this problem on one of my websites. Manjo from thinkupthemes.com (im using alante pro theme) tells me its WordPress generating these images.

    He said – “The image generation is not a theme feature. It’s a wordpress feature. We are not good with wordpress general design/ development issues.”

    When I switch theme only 3 or 4 images are generated. It looks to me like its a theme issue but the theme developer tells me its WP and he doesn’t know how to support his theme. Can anyone help?

    It’s a theme issue, or maybe a plugin. It’s not WP core.

    Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.
