2.8 not showing newly created Adsense Widgets

  • Just installed a site on 2.7 and immediately upgraded to 2.8 before setting up Adsense and creating ad widgets. On this new site, the newly created adsense widgets do not show up.

    On previously configured sites where the Adsense widgets were configured before the upgrade to 2.8, they are showing up properly.

    As a workaround, I am able to edit my theme’s PHP code and actually install the proper ads. Most annoying is that I have ads in both the left and right sidebars which cannot be done using the widgets part of WordPress in 2.8 only on a newly installed site. So far, I have not attempted to install new ad units on a previously installed site to see if the new widgets will display.

  • I have same problem on my site.I create a new ad unit but it does not appear on available wiget list.On wordpress 2.7.X it was ok.Just for now i added the HTML code for a flash banner as Text wiget but it would be great to fix this issue.In the wiget list i see only Ad#default-ad .Not the ads I just created

    I’m having a similar problem, I upgarded from 2.1 to 2.8 (I know, it was about time). In 2.1, I would just insert the Adsense Javascript Code into the sidebar etc. I tried this with 2.8, and nothing shows up.
