2.8.6 Upgrade Disaster: Almost Everything Stopped Working

  • Ever since I upgraded my Blog to 2.8.6 version, RSS feed subscription, Categories, Archives, About page and Privacy Policy page, all lead to error pages.

    Still working: Register, Log In, Links, Blogroll

    I need urgent help to fix that.

  • Kindof little information don’t you think? You upgrade from what, where and how. What error do you get. What did you try to fix them. Do you have stoneage plugins. What is that Privacy Policy page?
    And for the record, you should be on 2.9.1 by now…

    reset your permalinks as a starting point….. (as @gangleri stated….hard to help with so little info…)

    I can’t believe it. By simply resetting the permalinks, everything started working fine. Thanks a lot, RVoodoo.

    Gangleri: I have a Privacy and Disclosure Policy Page to comply with the latest FTC rules on affiliate blogging. As regards 2.9.1 I’m not too keen on this constant updating. Some people still state 2.6.5 was the most user-friendly version ever.

    Maybe I’m just an old timer…
