2.9 Pretty Permalink only working on default setting

  • I just installed wp2.9
    Changed permalink settings to day and name
    Links don’t work

    tried custom /%postname%
    no go! get broken link error

    I am using Firefox – go daddy – apache – linux – php 5.x

    Changing permissions to 677 for .htacess

    Uninstalled and reinstalled wp using auto install application at go daddy

    Totally scoured the forum and docs for 6 hours trying to fix this with no luck.

    It is important that my links are pretty

    Please!!!! if anyone can help a total newbie I would appreciate it VERY MUCH!
