2FA: cannot receive activation e-mail
-
Very interesting plug-in!
I’m trying to get 2FA by IP address working. After enabling 2FA, I get this notice (as intended):
Before completing activation of email-based two-factor authentication we need you to confirm your site can send emails.
Please click the link in the email you received. The email has been sent to you at blog admin address: <my correct Gmail address>However, I never receive the e-mail, not even after saving the Login Protection settings several times.
My e-mail address is correct.
There is nothing in my spam folder.
I have made a test.php script (on the same WordPress site) that sends an e-mail to the same Gmail address through wp_mail(): https://gist.github.com/butlerblog/5c9b805529c419b81447#file-test_wp_mail-php
This works perfectly; I receive the test e-mail immediately.I’ve tried disabling my other security plug-ins (Ithemes Security and WP Protect), but nothing seems to help: I’m just not getting any e-mail from Simple Firewall.
I presume there is something odd about my WordPress installation. Perhaps there is nothing you can do, but if possible could you give me a hint of what else I can try? Much obliged!
Steven
